The Thomson Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course. It is designed by famed architect Geoffrey Cornish who has designed more New England golf courses than any other architect. His courses include Nashawtuc in Concord, The International in Bolton, and Wentworth by the Sea in Rye,NH.

The Thomson Club continues in the Cornish tradition. It is a challenging par 72 known for its tight fairways and large tricky greens. Every hole is a distinct entity with its own character. Once played, each hole is easily recalled for the unique challenge all 18 present.


The Grill Room at Thomson Country Club
The restaurant has a beautiful dining room and spacious deck with a panoramic view overlooking the 10th tee and 18th green. We recently addded a new motorized awning and with its westerly exposure the restaurant and deck are the ideal settings for post golf camaraderie, delicious food, and libations from its full bar. The Grill Room features great pub food and specials.

The Grill Room is located on the second floor atop the the pro shop below. Its fully modern kitchen provisions up to 96 patrons in two interior dining rooms, barside dining, and spacious deck. 

The Grill Room is an exciting extension to our challenging, championsip golf course.

History of the Thomson Country Club
The Thomson Country Club was founded in 1910 in Nahant Massachusetts as a social club for the engineers of General Electric. In 1963, the members decided to relocate to North Reading where the club stands today. 
In 2010 The Thomson Country Club celebrated its 100th anniversary with a gala celebration and produced a commemorative magazine to document the history of the Thomson Country Club.
